Firstly, the client had a domain and hosting with separate platforms; therefore, we had to sort out the DNS settings to point to the hosting IP.  Once this aspect was successfully achieved, we started our initial procedure. 

We received a PDF version of the menu as a starting point for the website. We made basic drawings of the site layout to aid clear imagination and produced a few draft designs for the client. Once agreed with both parties, we finished the other pages for the website. We found a problem with the size of the ‘Takeaway Menu’. Initially, we decided to upload the whole PDF menu online to save our time, but due to the file size, it took a long time to load, particularly on the mobile version where it sometimes requested user permission to download; something we thought not sufficiently user friendly.  We came up with a solution to split the menu into categories, changed the version of the file, and compressed it to reduce the super large images ensuring that the quality remained the same. We came up against too much information for a single page again when looking up or to phone an order. We created solutions to simplify and amended again to avoid the pitfalls of user frustration or confusion.  Lastly we decided to add a user-friendly drop-down menu with each category and injected the menu with a different light format bringing the whole website into life.
